Age of Aquarius Shadow Work
“Not everything that is faced can be changed; but nothing can be changed until it is faced.”
—James Baldwin (1924 - 1987)
Below is a recently produced series of 10-minute videos for each planet that I created for the Shadow module of AstroButterfly School, as part of their Transform Your Life with Astrology program, for which I also gave two talks
Learn Astrology for Yourself
Often students have asked me to teach astrology, and while that has never been my calling, I can wholeheartedly recommend The AstroButterfly School as the depth and integrity of the work offered there. In my view, there is no other school quite like it for learning astrology, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned, serious student seeking deeper understanding. Its teachings resonate strongly with the themes of this course — awakening consciousness, personal responsibility, and our evolving relationship to the collective field.
THE VIDEOS for the SHADOW MODULE
The personal planets — Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars — describe our immediate needs, instincts, and ways of relating, shaping how we express ourselves and meet one another day to day.
The social planets — Jupiter and Saturn — reflect how we grow, structure meaning, and assume responsibility over time, especially within commitment, culture, and shared reality. Together, they form the bridge between personal experience and participation in the larger world.
Chiron occupies a unique place in astrology, pointing to core wounds that seek consciousness rather than resolution, and to the capacity for healing that emerges through awareness, humility, and lived experience.
The Transpersonal Planets
Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto operate on a collective level and often carry purposes that extend beyond individual desire or personal comfort. When they are activated in relationships, they can be confusing or destabilizing, precisely because they are not meant to serve the ego alone. Understanding their function helps us work with these forces more consciously, allowing relationship experiences to become pathways for awareness, responsibility, and growth rather than sources of confusion or projection.
